That. Which says one of three things:

1. They're lying

2. The 3080 Ti might not be too far off

3. The 2080 Ti is as good as it will be for a bit

Im also debating on which to grab at the moment anyways, my first choice was the 2080 Ti Aorus Xtreme because I ended up with a Gigabyte motherboard and the software unification would be nice, However an eVGA card is also on the table, Also waiting on the credit from returning my X570 Godlike to post. Plus the Super... I mean I can hope that the Super defies expectation and ends up really close to the 2080 Ti (IE, like the prior xx Ti cards vs the Titans) but im not sure theres enough grunt in the upgrade...

There won't be 2080 Ti S unless AMD pulls off 5900 XT with the performance of 2080 Ti. Which is highly unlikely they'll make one befoe 3xxx series.

I don't know about the 2080ti, but i see a 5900 soon. AMD launched Navi that matched, relatively, their own Vega VII @ midrange. You dont think they have a card ready for the 2080 slot ready? "Leaked" 2080S info.

They're going for cards weaker than 5700 first, that tells you they will not have a stronger unit than 5700XT anytime soon. 2080 Super was known at the same time 2070 S was announced. Navi 21 is still only rumored to appear somewhere in next year, but they still have 2080 to catch up to.

AMD does like to pull surprises though, Like what if when the 3950X is ready to ship AMD drops a Navi 5800 XT/5900 XT as a surprise with their answer to Raytracing....

I have a 1080 Ti and I play games in 4k on my Acer Predator X27. I play almost everything, Im looking forward to the heaps of ray tracing games dropping in the coming months (Modern Warfare, Control, Wolfenstein Youngblood, Doom Eternal..etc) plus I have just started Metro Exodus and I play a good deal of BFV (Im less interested in RTX on this however)

I just got done building a new rig (Ryzen 9 3900x/x570) and I guess part of me is going "Why not do graphics too" since thats one of two things I reused. I cant push my 1080 Ti OC further, I've tried.

With that new Rig, get a new GPU to match it. Sell your old one.
