RTX Coil Whine vs Ownership Poll

SELECT BOTH THE TYPE THAT COIL WHINES AND YOUR OWNERSHIP TYPE.

Poll is limited to 10 options so this is the best I could do, but should show any interesting correlations.

Poll comparing 3rd party ownership, reference ownership, and those who experienced coil whine with RTX cards.

-4690K @ 4.4ghz OC
-Asus z97-E motherboard
-Zotac Gtx 970 AMP edition @ 1519mhz core OC
-Corsair DDR3 vengeance @ 1866mhz Cas 9
-Samsung SSD 840 PRO Series 256.0 GB
-Storage: Western Digital SSD 500 GB

Thank you for not skewing the poll. Wish I could make multi selection, but I did not the see the option.

Not sure which option you'd want me to check... I've had 3 Titan RTX and one EVGA Kingpin 2080 Ti, all 4 have had pretty much the same coil whine when under heavy load.

I don't know how to vote to have the poll reflect my experience.

I've had two FE cards and the fans drowned out the whine. Under water blocks, the whine was really bad.

Asus Strix cards had very noticeable coil whine even when on air.

My Kingpin was really good for whine as is my current, a FTW3 Ultra. Even on water, both the Kingpin and FTW3 were pretty good with a slight nod to the Kingpin.

All of these were used with 240hz panels. If you're locked at 60hz, I don't think you'll ever notice whine.

Interesting topic, my last 3 cards have all been EVGA and I haven't had any real annoyances with coil whine.

My EVGA RTX FTW 2080S HC doesn't experience coil whine until I'm in the 1000+ FPS range during some loading screens. At that point I'd say that's relatively normal.

Every card has more or less coil whine under certain loads or fps, the only question is how loud is it?
