EVGA RTX 2080 Super FTW3 Hydro Copper OC Woes
OK So, I apologize in advance if this has been covered here already, but i cant seem to get not 1MHz worth of Overclock out of my card not on the memory or Core.
Ill Start with this.
ASUS ROG Z390 E gaming MoBo
32G Crucial Ballistix 3600 16-18-18-38 (XMP)
i9 9900K Overclocked 5.1 (48hrs Prime95 Stable)
EVGA RTX 2080 Super FTW3 Hydro Copper
Corsair HX1000i PSU
Dual Loop Custom water cooling (CPU and GPU each on their own 360 Rad)
So basically I've tried everything I can think of to try and get some OC out of my GPU using Precision X1. I've maxed out the target slider. Voltage slider at 0. Memory Clock at 0. Core clock at 120 and worked my way back down to 10. 3Dmark just keeps crashing every step of the way. Then went back, did it all again with memroy clock at 200 and systematically work backwards dialing back both clocks..... nothing 3dmark still crashes. Then I Did it all again, but now using the voltage slider at 100, and worked my way back and worked the voltage slider down in increments of 10 going through all the combinations of mem and core clock speeds. Nothing but crashes. I even tried the VF Curve Tuner, and nothing. I can't even run 3dmark at defaults on my GPU now.... and yes I ran 3dmark timespy before I even attempted overclocking and scored 10,207. So I figured maybe my CPU is the culprit, and dialed it back to stock, no overclock. Went through everything again and still can't get time spy to run without crashing my system at defaults or overclock. I even Removed and reinstalled 3dmark. Oh and here's the best though, I get around 70FPS playing Shadow of the Tomb Raider, CPU overclocked and my gpu at defaults sits comfortably at a frosty 31c under load at max settings, and no crashes. Im not complaing but, it would be nice to get some OC out of my watercooled gpu, no?
I just don't get it!!!!!!
