I would recommend upgrading to either a 4850, 9800GTX+ or a 4870 1GB. Those cards will pretty much play most games for quite some time. The 4870 1GB even spanks the GTX 280 with AA and high resolutions so it's definitely a good buy. The GTX 260 is a decent card but for less money you can get the 4870. Your call there.

Lol @ 4870 1gb "spanking" the gtx 280.

In no way, shape, or form has that ever been documented.

This thread is about a 120-145 dollar card, not the flagship models from ati or nvidia. Let's keep this on point.

At the momment im thinking on getting a 4870 tho and using the 8800GT just for folding.

@ SWIFTES im also from the UK m8.Were you buy yours from?As im guessing its not from one of our high stores. If you got from a store will you let me know so i can get 1 as soon as please.
Yeah to the answer the 8800GT will cut it for a while yet.And if you can get another really cheap SLI them and then your almost on par with a 280GTX.

Sorry misread thougt iut was you who mentioned the 4870 for £85 but it was the 8800gt.Thougt you were Sacredchao's.Sorry
Replacing your 8800GT SLI for a single 4870 would give you a decrease in performance...

Shh I'm in denial

And @ the 4870 spanking guy, I saw the benches. Far from a spanking. A spanking is what the 8800 ultra gave ati's 3000 series. A spanking is what the 9800gx2 gave the 3870x2.

I'm sorry about the nvidia spankings, but I couldn't think of any since the radeon 9700

For the money, it is a steal. My friend just picked up one for 115 after the mail in rebate. I would say its worth it.
