well maybe not highest settings, but my 8800gt is pushing the latest games at 1680 just fine. Loving STALKER CS at the moment.

Its time is coming though, and I'd really put up the extra 100$ for a GTX 260 if I were you (games will pass 512 VRAM soon enough, so I'd recommend the 260 over the 4870 512mb), you can get 'em for about 200-230 if you look around a bit.

I would agree

50-60 FPS in GRID with everything maxed, 4xaa, 1680x1050
40-50 FPS in Mass Effect with everything maxed but af and aa, 1680x1050
32 FPS in Crysis All high no aa, 1680x1050

Its an alright card. You wont be able to run the newest games at highest settings and aa. You should be able to run those games decently. You should upgrade to a 4870 (like me lol), its better than the GTX 260 and competes with the GTX 280.

Yeah it competes with a GTX280.... At anything like 1680 * 1050 or under with less AA.

But still thats justified by the small price tag.

Hey for a card that is roughly $150 cheaper than the GTX 280, that is good.

I think it is a great card. Most games are playable at 40FPS + right upto 1680x1050! (Albeit Crysis and Warhead, although 25FPS is playable on those two!) FOr the £85 i payed for it, propably the best investment i have ever made, and next year= the breaking of my SLI virginity!

the G92 GT is currently the best ''bang for your buck'' IMO
its a super performer @ 1680x1050

pair two of these bad boys up & the performance is up there with the GT200s & 4870s

i can get one BNIB now here for £85 ....i payed £170 for mine on its release & i thought i had value for money then!!

this card will go down in history

I have 2 8800GT and they run anything i throw at them.
At the momment im thinking on getting a 4870 tho and using the 8800GT just for folding.

@ SWIFTES im also from the UK m8.Were you buy yours from?As im guessing its not from one of our high stores. If you got from a store will you let me know so i can get 1 as soon as please.
Yeah to the answer the 8800GT will cut it for a while yet.And if you can get another really cheap SLI them and then your almost on par with a 280GTX.

Sorry misread thougt iut was you who mentioned the 4870 for £85 but it was the 8800gt.Thougt you were Sacredchao's.Sorry
