I need urgent help about Galaxy 9800GTX+
A tranzistor from the board got carbonized and i want to change it. But, i cannot see what's the name of it.
So, please, who owns this card, please look on it, and tell me the name.

P.S. I dorpped a screw on it, and it made a short circuit. What do you say. If i change the tranzistor, will the board work ?

Please post any ideas. Every useful post will be rewarded with rep
Thanx

I think the card will be fried.

You are better to RMA it under warranty than to attempt a repair.

I'd say you were silly to have a screw near it when it was on

If there is no warranty you might as well to repair it. There is nothing more to loose at this point right?

The 9800 series is less than a year old! of course you have warranty. Unless you know something we don't?
