i was playing Fallout 3 this morning, and the card was showing white dotted outlines of objects in the game, whenever it was dark (i was inside buildings.) it was not doing this over the whole screen, just on my gun, on a door that i would open, etc... when i turned my pip-boy light off the dotted lines went away...

i haven't used rivatuner to check temps but i will do that. also, there is a 120MM fan exhausting air from the PC right next to the gfx card... i am the card's second owner and it is going to be about a year old in september...

It could be dying, but it could be a bad overclock? Assuming that it is overclocked.

Lol?

Check your temps using evga precision. Try raising the fan speed and downloading the latest drivers. Then, make sure to clean out your old drivers with driver sweeper, if you still get artifacts, its a sign of death

I don't know if this helps, but my laptop had serious driver issues in windows 7 - artifacting, crashing e.t.c. I had to use old ones and run them in compatibility mode. Maybe you could try that or use another OS?

Definatley either a driver problem or a heat issue. I know on my old BFG 8800GT OC2 i just replaced the fan had like a 25% chance not to start spinning on start up and would need to be restarted. One time i neglected to check to see and sure enough, 10 mins of Cod 4 and i seen all these white and other lines poping up and i was like (Viperelite: Does anoyone else see all these weird lines.) So i exited the game poped up Ntune and Bam 184C. I was like **** i swear i pushed the shutdown button so hard i almost pushed it thorugh the case.

My old card playing up mate?

Hmm, RMA time perhaps, you want to wait until you are in the US first though.

184C would melt the PCB, so that's way off .

Win 7 is a beta OS so you might get some errors in games. Try using Vista and see if you get the same problem. Also, like Viper said, make sure the fan is spinning.
