the new one with the special backplate and the high airflow bracket... considering the standard MSRP for a 470 is $350 - is it a good deal, or would it be smarter to just stick with the normal 470?

(i'm not counting rebates since i don't know if it will end up working out - it comes to $330 AR (the price of a base eVGA 470 at the moment))

OP wasn't asking for a GTX480 and that is another $100.

I would say it would be good to get if your going to be doing any sort of overclocking, would help better with temps that's for sure.

Runs quite a bit cooler than stock: http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum...review-15.html

I've noticed that used overclocked versions go for more on eBay, so you'll have a better resale value at least.

buying superclocked is like saying i don't have the time to drag the slider in the evga tuner. get the stock evga card or get it liquid cooled

Actually, the SC version comes with a backplate and high flow bracket so it runs cooler.

NO! Get a regualr EVGA one and overclock it yourself, takes 30 seconds with Precision (the program)...

It was good, men.
