I just upgraded to the 14.2 driver and my old SAPPHIRE HD5870 2 GB eyefinity6 edition is crashing left and right.

Anyone suggest a retro driver for the 5870?

It never was a game, mate. You just thought it was.

14.12.

On which my 5870 crossfire / eyefinity (3 x 1920X1200 / 60 Hz through DP / MST-Hub) system is still sailing happily.

[EDIT:

By the way, 14.2 was the first driver with AMD's specific note in the release notes that "Current driver MUST be uninstalled" before installing it... meaning: coming from a 13.xx or a 14.1 driver (possibly that is where your issue stems from). /EDIT]
