Is somewhat typical for AMD cards because of how hot they run. My earlier setup had 2X r9 290s and that was pretty warm at full load, too, but a little less than the current 2X Vega64s.

Yes, one card is about 2-4 *C above the other. Usually the primary card.

I am using AMD Wattman minimum settings. Still learning how to undervolt. Don't know how to do it better yet.

Am using the default Wattman settings and reduced the frequency to keep the card cooler. Once I am sure I can get everything working stable, then I plan to try and increase performance somewhat.

Thanks @ht_addict for the great advice and suggestions. Will try the OverdriveN tool today. Am wondering if setting the frequencies high will again result in higher heat, which may make the system unstable again. I usually get a driver issue BSOD error. Anyway, will try to do what I can.

The registry edit seems a little complicated. Will read up on it and see if I can implement it. Won't the system work well without the increased power setting? Can I undervolt and up the frequencies without increasing the power setting?

I managed to put the settings into Wattman. So now, unless it resets because of a crash and hard reboot, I have it on auto.

Have attached an image of the OverdriveN Tool settings that I am using right now. This is pretty stable for a while even at 4k Ultra, but does black-screen for me after some™ time.

I was hoping to find a way to have the settings continued all the time on every reset without Wattman resetting. Don't know if that is possible.

Am currently trying the below attached settings. Is that doable or will the lower voltages cause the card to black-screen?

I am still getting black-screens, even though the card GPU temps are in the 60s. Could it still be overheating, or is there something else I am overlooking?

Any ideas?

Well, after lots of days of tweaking, I finally seem to have a stable setup. Settings below. I saw this suggestion in a reddit post that I can't find again.

Except when I put AA to max, it works without black-screening because the cards are not fully loaded and don't heat up too much. Note the Power Target set to -5%. At -10% it black-screens again. I couldn't be bothered to fine tune it. If it works, move on

It works. Power consumption is lower (less heat). The two cards in crossfire give me 60fps constant in Witcher III with everything to ultra (except AA, which I have lowered to reduce GPU load and heat).

Hope this helps anyone who has the same or similar issue.

Cheers!
