Accelero Xtreme III install on 1080Ti

I have a Gigabyte Gaming OC 1080Ti. I swapped out the stock fan assy. for more powerful fans (notcua industrial 140mm and a delta 92x38mm screamer) and that raised my ovrclock ceiling a bit, but when I hit the upper 60's it still CTD's.

The instructions for the Accelero Xtreme III don't mention the 1080Ti, but I know people have installed it.

I'd like to be able to un-install the heatsinks though. I remember Arctic Cooling alumina adhesive recommended mixing it w/arctic silver to enable removal of heatsinks. Does this still work?

Also, should I go ahead and buy some copper heatsinks for the VRM's and memory? Would those contribute significantly to the cooling performance of the VRM's and memory over the stock Al heatsinks?

Aren't you worried about messing up your 1080? 1080's are going for 800 to over a thousand dollars on newegg right now. To replace my Gigabyte 1080Ti Gaming OC would be over $1400 -- twice what I paid for it.

Just for the record w/ambient temps of 80+°F the Arctic Accelero Xtreme III with the stock fan configuration was unable to cool my Gigabyte 1080ti Gaming OC w/the Asus Strix OC VBIOS flashed to it and no overclocking aside from what the VBIOS does on its own. Once I slapped a double-shrouded Nidec TA450DC and shrouded Noctua NF-A14 IndustrialPPC-3000 on the Accelero Xtreme III it keeps my temps under 60°C even at 80+°F ambient temps.

The Gigabyte 1080Ti Gaming OC is now no more. Everything was working great, my temps had dropped so I could actually play games w/the card again but today I powered on the system and the display went completely white. Tried it in another system and while the monitor indicated it was receiving a signal there was no video output. I'm guessing the thermal adhesive bridging of the power MOSFET's did it in but I never smelled anything burning.
