Impressed with MSI Gaming X 1080Ti and Phanteks Glacier

My stock MSI Gaming X was at 77C after 10 minutes on stock cooler running Furmark.
With my Phanteks Glacier on my Gaming X after 10 minutes of Furmark it's at 35C (Same settings verified twice). I didn't expect such a huge drop in temps. Is that typical?
Water loop--EK CE 420, BI Nemesis 560GTX--XSPC D5 Photon 170--XSPC Raystorm Pro/[email protected] Corsair ML140 fans. Gelid GC-Extreme
I did notice some areas of the Glacier are cut out where the stock cooler made thermal contact with some components.

That sounds about right for your radiator space. With BI Nemesis 360GTX + Swiftech 120mm, my MSI 1080Ti with EK Block doesn't surpass 40C and games mostly around 37C.
