Welcome to the thread dedicated to Multi Monitor Gaming in all it's forms - aka Team Brown - AMD, Matrox and nVidia triplescreen users all welcome! smile.gif

This thread came about from my concern about the divisions within the "triplewide" ecosystem, and following a discussion in the [Official] nVidia Surround thread, thought it might be worth a go. What is already a niche market, and therefore going to be catered toward less than single screen or 3D gamers (given the large push of hardware companies for 3D TVs etc), is further fragmented by the classical antagonism that AMD (historically ATi) and nVidia users present to one another.

Triplewide gamers cannot afford that - AMD EyeFinity and nVidia Surround users need to work together, as while you can guarantee that the manufacturers won't, it only harms us as gamers to be concerned with squabbling about who is best. Both EyeFinity and Surround have their advantages and drawbacks. But triplescreen gaming will be taken more seriously by developers if we can present a united front.

It should also be a good opportunity to get something sorted out for those wanting to play with other triplewide gamers. biggrin.gif

So please take this as the chance to work and talk and game with others who do the same - across three screens. smile.gif

This isn't a place for flamewars, however. I trust that multi-monitor gamers are mature, sensible individuals who can see the merits and demerits of the solution they are using, and play nicely with others who may have differing opinions but share a common interest in gaming across three (or more) screens. I am certain the moderators will come down heavily on any antagonistic behaviour, though. Just play nicely, and everyone will benefit! biggrin.gif

Nice. biggrin.gif

I'm pretty bad at most 'twitch' games, but I still really enjoyed BFBC2 when a friend got me interested. Would be good to get a team together for those games that support Surround well. smile.gif

I agree. Surround has been the biggest change to my gaming experience since I got my first 3D acellerator card - a 3dfx Voodoo. Going from 320x240 software rendering to 640x480 Glide in Quake 2 with all the fancy lighting effects was... amazing. biggrin.gif
