If I got the glasses and a monitor that supports it would AMD cards support it? That is my only question.

No AMD cards do not work on 3D Vision as it's proprietary. However you can enable lightboost with an AMD card now and get the benefits.

LightBoost works on ATI now

AMD HD3D isn't as good as Nvidia 3D Vision since methods of displaying 3D with AMD is through third party software - TriDef - and monitor-side processing with specific monitors.

List of AMD 3D capable monitors if your interested.

Facts are Nvidia renders the 3D best in which they provide support in their own drivers and constantly improving and updating. Where AMD requires it to be done on third party software to accomplish it and has issues on many games without the same level of support from Tri-Def.

I like to play a new game campaign in 3D Vision on my second rig at least once and still like watching 3D Movies often when I purchase blu-ray myself. When I looked into 3D Vision and compared both Nvidia was much better with true 3D rather than a 2D to 3D conversion.
