First time liquid metal + 2080Ti

What are the preparation with liquid metal (Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut) to protect the surrounding circuitry? This is the lousy electrical tape protection I have so far, is it enough?

Thank you

Thank you
Some people simply paint the resistors with conformal coating ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008O9YIV6/ ) and they're good to go.
Nail polish (transparent, cellulose based only) also works nicely.
If you don't use nail polish, then kapton or electrical tape is a MUST. But I don't recommend the tape you used. The highly recommended tape is Super 33+ tape. It's very strong and thin as well, which is excellent for things like this. Not only is it higher quality than what you used, it may even be cheaper too. https://www.amazon.com/Scotch-Super-...dp/B0000AZ9HG/

It's also highly recommended you ALSO use a foam dam with any insulation you do. The foam dam's job is to protect the PCB from any LM getting off the entire die or heatsink area, not to insulate the SMD's. It's emergency insurance and it's free with no drawbacks as long as your foam is not thick, extremely compressible and cut out correctly. 15 ppi or maybe 20 ppi polyurethane foam works well. This stuff works perfectly:

If you're careful, you don't need anything exotic, I just scotch taped some paper in place during the application. If you have shaky hands use nail polish.

Thank you all. Took the nail polish advice would of loved the 422B Silicone since it’s removal. I just got this card no more than 2 weeks ago, is my manufacturer warranty basically gone?

as long as you remove the nail polish/conformal coating before you RMA you'll still have a warranty.
