I recently became a father to a future gamer. I love holding him while i'm on my PC but I can't play most games one handed. So I'm looking for suggestions of one handed (generally mouse only) games that I can play while holding him.

NOTES
- Not a huge fan of point-and-clicks like monkey island, telltale, etc.
- I like a mix of both casual and not so casual games.
- I have a 9 button mouse so I can program several actions to it in lieu of using the keyboard.

SOME GAMES I HAVE
- Starcraft 1, 2
- Torchlight 1, 2
- Bomb Squad Academy
- Hexcells, Squarecells
- One Finger Death Punch
- FTL
- Civ V, VI
- XCOM 2

Ideas?

Check out Darkest Dungeon. Since you have a 9 button you can bind the hotkeys to your mouse. The setting and sounds might freak out your spawn. Diablo 3 from what I remember can be played with mouse only. There's also a game called Clicker Heroes. Congratulations man! thumb.gif

Here's some game suggestions that you might like, from games I play quite often:

911 Operator
Planescape torment / or enhanced edition, your preference really
Final fantasy 7 - This game can be played one handed, and there's not many parts of the game that require both hands at once other than mini games which are completely optionable.
Zafehouse: Diaries - Its basically a survival / choice / inventory management / resource management style game, completely playable with mouse only.
This is the police - Another game that is mouse only.
Darkest Dungeon
Democracy 3
The curious expedition

If you like XCOM 2, try it with Long War 2 mod which is a massive overhaul.

And as others have said, some RPGs are playable with mouse only, such as:

  • Planescape: Torment - Enhanced Edition (I wouldn't bother playing the original if you already have it, chances are it will be unstable late in the game)
  • Neverwinter Nights 2: Complete (the original campaign isn't anything special, the expansions especially Mask of the Betrayer are fantastic and hundreds of custom campaigns exist too, including remakes of other games)
  • Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura (requires an unofficial patch and widescreen patch)
  • Fallout
  • Fallout 2

The original Ragnarok for DOS. Can be played with a mouse. One the best games ever made to be honest.

Feel free to correct me. I'm right just as often as I am wrong. Or wrong as equally as I am right at least. I dunno I could be wrong about that..

i know you're not a fan of point and click, however Life is Strange is a game you might want to look into.
Totally playable with one hand and it's not overly point+click like teltale but it's definitely in the same general styling.

Imo that game is less a game and more a modern work of art. It's a quintessential aspect of modern gaming.

Civ 5 is always addicting and I believe you can play it entirely one handed.
