That is the skill. Being able to react and aim well enough to track and continue to hit targets while both they and you are moving. I would argue hardcore removes skill in that all you have to do is spray and pray because you only need one bullet to connect. If you want the feel of hardcore then just play recon and go for headshots. Also pretty sure bunny hopping and erratic moving has been a thing since like the dawn of competitive online FPS. Quake? UT? Everyone moves like rabbits on coke.

I mean honestly I would be fine with them adding a hardcore mode for people who want it, but it's a bit silly to act like the way it is now is somehow killing FPS gaming.

Not silly at all, bunny hoping was actually bannable on some servers back in the day. Im not saying it should be but like i said before Hardcore is where the skill is at. Go try a hardcore bf3 server or something like that. Anyway my opinion and im stickin with it end of story

Except he isn't complaining about BF; you are! That's the whole point. Why the hell would he go play CoD if he's happy with what he's got?

If it takes you 2 clips to down a target in any BF game, it appears you have no place in any "skill" discussion.

I wasnt complaining about the game so much as all you so called skilled kiddies,and dont talk about skill you have not a clue. Like i said before its my opinion and im sticking to it,so go spray and pray until your little heart is content.

Hardcore modes are so much more enjoyable. You have to be better to do well in that game mode, and in particular, be mindful of the campers and snipers.
There is no question that HC requires more skill to excel and a higher level of understanding how the game works, that has been the state in every previous BF title with HC mode.
Once you can play HC, you will score higher in regular modes.

BF5 is almost a cross between HC and SC; minimal hud and no 3D spotting, all it needs is a more balanced (borderline realistic) TTK and friendly fire.
HC makes players better, remove 'Spray and Pray' gmeplay and more importantly, negates nade spam.

If you go to HC and spray, spam nades and cry about snipers: you are the problem, not the mode.

I am not a skilled precision player but I agree, I think its worse for those of us that aren't that good, I hate landing a clean headshot or right in the chest and the dude just runs off. And yeah the bunny hopping wow. Not sure how to get rid of it but I hate it.

So DLSS will be available tomorrow. It'll be interesting how much of a fps 'boost' we'll see. I know the current version is a downsample tech, but if the image looks close to the native res and you're concerned with moar frames, then this may get ppl to buy RTX if its significant enough.
