Watch Dogs 1 and Mad Max any good ?

I have GTA4/5 installed for if I want to drive around a city. And Skyrim/FO4/FC4 for if I want to wander the land. And I'm only playing BF1/5 lately. What's good/bad about WD1, how long is the game ?

What about 'new' MadMax movie game, I have that installed already.

I'm worried both these games might be another grind ? I hope not, but I love open world games.

Haven't played WD1 yet, but I started on the Mad Max game a week ago. I gotta say, I'm having fun with it!
It took a few hours to get into, but this is clearly one of those games where the more you play and get familiar with it, the better it becomes. I haven't done too many of the main quests yet, as I love driving around collecting scraps to upgrade my car and the strongholds.
The graphics are also pretty decent (at least the effects, such as fire, weather, etc), and the combat system is good.

There's always that learning curve that holds me back trying new games. I'm almost finished Dishonored 1 and GTA5, should finish them 1st

I have played and beat both these games, and I really liked them both.

Watch Dogs 1 got some hate on PC when it released because the graphics were slightly worse than what had been shown at E3 before it released but it's still a good looking game. The plot is very dark and it doesn't end on a predictably happy note, which is something I really liked. The plot feels pretty deep once the ball gets rolling, and most of the characters are very memorable. The DLC also adds some really good plot missions. I think Watch Dogs 1 is a VERY under-rated game. I enjoyed it a lot more than Watch Dogs 2. The gunplay is really good in WD1 as opposed to 2 and characters don't feel like cartoons.

The only thing that I think really held WD1 back from being more like GTAV is that there are just not as many side missions and the driving isn't quite good enough to justify going on vehicular rampages, so once you beat the plot you will not have much reason to keep playing but it is a really good game up until the end. On top of that there are actually several pretty substantial mini games called "Digital Trips" that completely change the game. I spent probably at least ten hours alone on these mini games, they're super fun and creative... except for the one where you just bounce around in the air.

Mad Max is one of those games you get on sale for $5-10 with no real expectations and then are pleasantly surprised that it's actually a pretty good game. It's a driving and exploration game with a simple but fun hand to hand combat system, but the main focus is car battles. Imagine a sort of open world Twisted Metal type of game where you can get out of your car a fist fight people at outposts. The plot is entirely forgettable but its not bad. If you like open world driving and exploration, you will probably like Mad Max. I would say it does get a little repetitive before the end, but it is a pretty long game so that's not really a bad thing. I didn't get bored before I beat it.

Coincidentally both of these games are on this list:

GeForce 1080 Ti

I don't think either of these games have a strong learning curve. Watch Dogs 1 uses the same control style as any other Ubisoft game. If you have played anything from Ubisoft in the last 5 years or so, you will already be used to the controls. There is one mission in WD1 near the beginning that is kinda hard at first, where you have to drive around and evade the police, but it's not brutal or anything. Might take a few tries is all. The same is basically true for Mad Max. Both games are easy to get into.

Glad I've convinced you to give them a try. Watch Dogs 1 is definitely one of my favorite single player games. I love the way Aiden sort of devolves into a revenge focused screw up by the end. It feels believable in that sense.

This is a pretty good 4K fan video:

Haha, the video is great! Will have some fun with it and I guess it must run fine @4k on my 1080Ti.

The vehicle physics in Watch Dogs aren't even as good as GTAIV and the cars seem to be nearly indestructible. I always thought Watch Dogs was meh.
