Game Reccomendations...

So, didnt see any threads like this. I finally got a proper upgrade to my rather old PC and now, looking for some games to REALLY test it, both in visuals but also good games. Games with Character Creation and such are always great, something like a Witcher 3 but with custom Character creation...so basically a TES with good visuals and better gameplay.

Pretty much into any Genre from MMO to simulation both turn based, grand war and things like Sins of a Solar Empire to football manager, to shooters. Pretty much willing to try anything. So, what do you guys recommend? ^^

I just got done with a modded Oblivion play through and started a modded GTA IV playthrough. Most old games that support modding can bring a modern system to its knees, and my modded GTA IV game looks better than GTA V in parts (before I modded GTA V at least).

GTA IV/V is worth a play through if you never went through them, but install the realistic driving and flying mod for GTA IV since the driving is poo in vanilla. Then there's the two single player DLC for GTA IV too.

CS:GO if you're into competitive shooters. XCOM2 is fun for a bit if you're into turn based strategy games. PUBG was fun but after ~500 hours I can't be bothered to play it anymore.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, although I would recommend playing Human Revolution first... No character creation, but it is an RPG and has extensive skill trees.

Mass Effect Andromeda (believe it or not). The reviews are not exactly positive but the game has excellent gameplay and great visuals (except the character facial animations). For anything under $20 it's a game worth playing. It has basically all you described.

Black Desert Online. It's more MMO-ish, but it has good visuals. The gameplay is not for everyone, but there are trials available regularly.

Mmmm, i do have the older ones and Human Revolution. I just couldnt quite get into them. They kinda feel like "fake" open world. Like you can explore, limited areas. You can explore when we allow it and from my experience in Human Revolution it was explore the same old thing in just a different area and kinda got boring. The powers and such were cool though though i do have Mankind Divided on my XBOne and rather enjoy that for what it is.

Couldnt stand oblivion, it was just awful after the masterpiece that was Morrowind but damn, those visuals look amazing. Shame i find GTA rather boring lol CS:GO and PUBG are defo not my kinda games. XCOM2 is cool but again i have that on my XBOne, something sort of like that would be cool and before you mention road to eden, also have on XBOne Lol

I posted mine before the appeared but, Andromeda is dreadful. Not sure if its any better on PC but i got the trail for it on EA PLayon XBOne and man, i couldnt stand it. Some of the visuals were nice and had some cool ideas but the main gameplay, the combat and such were just really subpar the controls were just meh.

BDO is nothing but visuals, i have it stopped playing SO long ago. It does have amazing, really amazing visuals and the character creator is aweosme but thats where it ends. The combat is dreadful, the performance is/was woeful - maybe improved with my new set up - so many, just maybe worth another try. Just the gameplay is SO meh, the combat just is one of the worst i have played (my ideal MMO - BDO visuals, WoW raids, dungeons and content, GW2 Combat, Rift talent tree and FF14 world)

How good is Dark souls on PC? I do have Dark Souls 3 on XBOne, completed it once and into second play through and love it. Got Hollow Knight on Switch. Got Ori and the Blind forest on XBOne. Subnautica isnt really something i am that into. I have checked it out but not really into the "build a base" sort of game. The exploration is pretty decent but can only do some much for my interest
