[Official] Modern Warfare Information & Discussion Thread

Call of Duty is abandoning their traditional leveling system. You will still have levels 1-55 but after that it will be replaced by a seasonal ranking system with unlocks and rewards. Prestiging is no longer an option.
Additional XP towards progression can be earned

· By completing Daily Challenges, short objectives that are usually able to be completed within a play session.

· By completing Challenge Missions; multi-step objectives that also result in other rewards (see below).

· By completing Camo Challenges (100+ camos to unlock); which unlock variations of base weapon camos and also offer you XP boosts.

Played the beta most of the day, coming from BFV, enjoying it so far. I have not come across any bugs so far and it is running really well on my system.
Considering the BFV stutters, crashes and hackers can only hope MW continues to improve and looking forward to 32 v 32 games

I'll give the OP an update soon, just waiting to see what updates tomorrow with the open beta.

I played for a couple of hours last night and mostly enjoyed it (crashes). I've been binge playing BF4 recently and having trouble not comparing them. The only thing I don't like so far is the lack of how visible players are.

The game stays pegged at 144 FPS on my system in the 10v10 modes, which is awesome but it kept crashing every time I received a chopper gunner. I'm unsure if that streak is bugged or if my luck was particularly poor. lol

I'm really excited to see the larger 32v32 map tomorrow.

It's enjoyable but ground war kind sucks honestly. It's a cluster well you know what. Really the only mode i seem to care about is cyber attack. Game makes me rage more than most in recent history. Console aim assist bothers me to no end, i mean i get it. Without it cross play would be moot but lawd it's effective. I think we ran into hackers our last two games. Just unexplainable prefires. Then i watched a 1v2 situation, one of my friends planted and is camping behind a box. Can't be seen, has Ghost perk on. The guy runs up exactly where he is, plants a claymore right where wook would have to turn to go towards the bomb and runs off to disarm. Kills him with a claymore. I mean right where he was. It was absurd. Dude was the entire team too.

Cyber attack is a lot of fun though. I wish they would focus on balancing that particular mode. 1 shot kill weapons are sort of annoying and you come across anyone half decent especially on PC with the AI 50 or 30-30 and it's over.

For whatever reason i do not care for TD anymore.

Game does run exceptionally well though, on medium i'm getting 60fps with my 780. Will see how it does in 2k with the 1080 when i get back.

Loving the chaos of the 64 man ground war map. Runs exceptionally well on my 4c/8t 8300H & 1050 4gb laptop - 1080p 120hz @ mostly medium settings.

Already leveled up to 12 which tells me attaining levels is pretty easy. When enemies are clustered the RPG works pretty good to clear them out. Got many triple kills with the RPG against campers all hiding in corners near the flag. Honestly I consider the RPG as an anti-personnel weapon to be a cheap shot but if you're gonna camp all day that's what it takes to stop it.

Though I do agree about the cheaters. And that I believe I've run into hackers more than once already on this yet to be released game.

Open beta uses hosting exlusively. There won't be servers.
Every death in this game feels like you get prefired, even if you watch the killcam to find out the enemy saw you late.

This game is an abomination for failing to meet PC gaming standards even after like 17 years of the franchise.

Yeah, GW needs some work before it's worth playing. B & C flags need to be moved because it ends up like Metro in BF3/4, everybody is clustered up in one spot and the tanks just sit on a hill and snipe people as they spawn. I only find it useful for leveling up guns quickly.

I think Realism and Cyber Attack were my favorite modes since they're a little different. I was hoping to see the 20v20 mode we saw during the stream events.

I for sure ran into at least 1 guy using an ESP or something out of 50 games or so played. I watched him follow me through a wall and 1 shot me from across the map with a Deagle while going 48-2. Seems legit.

I really found myself enjoying the MK2. One shot kills are a bit inconsistent but it was super satisfying to use. Hopefully the FAL and SCAR will be good.
