Portal will last 6-10 on the first play through. I don't know about the others. Your machine can handle it fine, I've played them all on a 2600 and they still look great.

And when I say "all" I mean Portal, TF2, and the hour or two I've put into HL2.

In short, yes.

Long, YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES

For $30 bucks you get $50+ worth of some of the best gaming goodness that's come out of the industry in recent time!

edit:
Portal will be 4-6 hours tops if your a natural to it, and 12-48hrs if the levels mess w/ your head. + there's tons of challenge levels to keep you entertained.
HL2 is about 12 hours + of gameplay
ep1 is about 4, maybe a lil more for non gaming vets.
ep2 is probably around 5 hrs

In my opinion, the 30 dollars just for Portal was more than worth it. Not to mention you get other games to boot.

I had one but it squeaked worse than a hooker's bed on payday...

Not everyone plays games at the same speed. I played through Portal and it was a good six or seven hours of nonstop playing and spending time getting to know the game.

portal - 3-4 hours running through it, 8-10 hours reading all the writings and listening to GLADOS as she warps my innocent mind and forces me to umm wait that's a spoiler.

HL2 - A good 20+ hours as you take in the scenery

HL2 Ep1 - 13-14 hours

HL2 Ep2 - Same

and can my sig rig handle it? Any halfway decent computer with above average GPU can handle valve games
