Hey guys, so I bought my new build, and it was a DIY kit from Newegg, it had everything besides the video card so i bought a saphire 6870.
I put everything all together, then when i boot my pc from the CDROM with my windows xp disk in it, everythings good, the windows xp logo is there, and its verifying system hardware and ****, then it finishes loading files and does like a little screen flash and a new screen pops up, its saying blah blah blah press r to repair a partition or press enter to install a fresh version.

When i get THERE my keyboard doesnt work, like the caps lock led's dont flash on and i cant press any buttons, i restart it and can hit delete to go into bios and everythings good till that final screen pops up when it wants me to start installing, whatthe **** is wrong with this? will post specs if needed

Edit: it is, "welcome to setup, this portion of the setup program prepares microsoft xp to run on your computer
to set up widnows xp now, press enter
blah
blah
blah"

you have to enable usb keyboard feature in the bios to use the usb keyboards in setups like windows xp. mostly called "Legacy USB" Look for it and enable it.

In the bios under integrated peripherals the "usb controllers, usb legacy function, and usb storage function" are all enabled. so the keyboard still wont work after i load up windows xp
