I did some recent upgrades, and am having some overclocking issues I could use some help on. I am no noob to the OC'ing but can't seem to get past these issues.
I picked up ASUS ROG Strix Z390-E Gaming motherboard with:
- Intel Core i7-9700K Coffee Lake 8-Core 3.6 GHz (4.9 GHz Turbo) LGA 1151 (300 Series) 95W
- G.SKILL TridentZ RGB Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200
I am running a corsair h100 cooler and have not seen temps above 70C when stress testing at max load. I also have an 850 watt power suplly so I don't think that's an issue.
The issue is that I am trying to use the AI tweaker to overclock, which seems to work, then when i start to do something on the machine it gives me the blue screen and restarts.
- I have updated bios, and set the bois to default before using the AI OC tool. But I still can't seem to get a stable clock. Does anyone have experience with this MB and using the AI overclocking suite? I feel like it's a simple setting that I can change to achieve a stable OC. The AI tool is not setting the voltage too high or anything like that and seems to work pretty well besides not giving me a stable OC.
Can anyone help?
