System Crash's with no codes. Like someone turns off power

Got a computer from a friend. He was having problems with it so he wanted to get rid of it. I put a new hard drive in it, and installed windows 8 on it due to that alll i have a key for. The computer will start up and at some point will just shut off. No bsod, or codes on the mobo. Just turns off. So i replaced the PSU. It didnt fix it either. Usually the first time i start it, it will run for 15-20min, then after that it wont even go through the boot process before crashing.

I5 3750k @ 3.4ghz cpu
MSI Z77a-gd65
MSI Radeon 7850
Corsair 1600 mhz 8gb 2 sticks
Corsair TX750m PSU

Not sure what to try next

And blow memory slots with some air. Also you could try other memory slots and if nothing also you, try using only one memory module.

Hi,
Might have to remove the board and look closely for burn marks/ bent socket pins

so i pulled one of the sticks of ram out. And i can get it to operate like normal. So i thought it was a bad stick. Then i put a known working wifi PCI E card in and same issue. It will sometimes turn on and sometimes it wont. If i pull the wifi card it will work.

Seems like a component on the mobo maybe? north bridge, south bridge cpu?

Could be a bad power or reset switch.

What PSU did you replace it with?

I had a heck of a time figuring out why I was getting random shutdowns, power ons, BSODs and whatnot once. Turned out it was the PSU (an HX850) and the emergency replacement I picked up locally was flaky too.

Corsair TX750 Modular with the yellow label. I bought it because the orginal was a TX750, turned out it wasnt modular and my new one is. Oh well.
