Surface book 2 overheating
I own a Surface book 2 15in model with intel CPU and nvidia 1060 graphics. I have the power settings of the laptop set to shutdown on lid close. I also have fast boot turned off. When I put my laptop in its sleeve when taking it to school, I am having an issue. When I presumably shut down the laptop when I close the lid, I put in the sleeve and head to school, I will later take the laptop out of the sleeve some time later and turn it on and return to a temp icon, signaling the laptop overheated.
Why is it doing this when I have the laptop set to shutdown and fast boot turned off?
Also, have I done any damage to the laptop because of this issue? Is there a way to test this to ensure everything is performing correctly and put my mind at ease? I am still under warranty and presumably have set all the correct settings to ensure this shouldnt normally happen.
