Thanks guys, appreciate the input. I could run the clock up on my 3770k. I had it at 4.3 and not hot, but it crashed a few times and I honestly don’t have much experience overclocking, I probably need to come up on the voltage a bit.
I can sell the 9600k and board for a profit. I have just under $150 into them both, believe it or not, and a legit receipt.
A popular vendor sent an email and I think it was mis-priced. The link went to the wrong combo.
I contacted them the next day, they realized it, and asked to get back to me.
A few days later they said to go ahead and order them and they would refund the difference to honor the emailed price...score.
What is the best way to get and analyze frame rates? I can run Fraps but I only see instantaneous frame rates. I like the charts that show low 1%, but also ones that show spikes in how long a frame is, as opposed to frames per second. Kind of the inverse, I think.
I do appreciate the input.
As to the RAM, I believe mine is 1600mhz, but I think it’s running 1433 currently. Another victim of BF5 crashing to desktop even though benchmarks passed.
Again, noob when it comes to this, or ever so slightly above noob level.
