Cannot reach max CPU overclock
See below for my rig.
I'm trying to squeeze some extra performance from my PC. I have a delidded 7900X running at 4.3ghz. With EIST enabled the PC maxes out at 4.01ghz under load (Eg x264 encoding)
With EIST disabled it will not exceed 3.57ghz.
I was encoding some media when I noticed my temps were under 50c. Normally I get temps in the mid 60s with CPU at 95%-100% running x264 2nd pass. So I checked task manager and saw that my CPU was maxing out at only 3.57ghz.
UPDATE: It turns out that when I set CPU to 4.3 it enables EIST. When I disable EIST it sets CPU back to 3.3ghz stock. Not on latest BIOS so will update that and see it it fixes the issue.
