Intel i3-6000u 2.3ghz overclock question

Hi everyone. I'm hoping this I the right place to post this - I have the above mentioned chip in a laptop and I'm wondering what software to use for overclocking? I tried both Intel XTU and Throttlestop(which I know is more for undervolting) but I don't have an option to overclock the frequency, however a quick search shows that this chip is unlocked and has been over clocked.

You must be looking at the desktop i3 6100 unit. Best you can do is to raise TDP/Power limits.

You cannot overclock laptops, period, and if you could it would be a very bad idea.

The only intel CPUs that can be overclocked end with a K and none of them are for laptops.

You're wrong in both sentences and in four thesis you put .

Yea I know you can overclock them, and there are some that have got great results from doing so. Was just wondering about this specific chip but looks like it's a no go, which is a shame 😞
