"Will a sound card slow down my GPU?"

Hello guys,
I need some information, i'm planning to buy a sound card PCI-E ( the little slot PCI-E ) and put it on PCI-E X16
But the thing is that the two slots PCI-E X16 i got are 2.0 and the free slot is X16 mode X4
My motherboard is a P8H67M-PRO
Here some info about the PCI-E slots
1 x PCIe 2.0 x16 ([blue])
1 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (mode x4, [black])
2 x PCI

My graphic card (GTX 760 is on the PCIe blue) so if i put a sound card on the "black" pcie is that gonna slow down the GPU (X16 to X8 ?)
I'm a little confused, i also can buy a sound card PCI but it's gonna be realy close to the fan of the graphic card so i'm not going on that.

Btw if you need some information about the motherboard, here : https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P8...pecifications/
Thanks you in advance and sorry for my bad english !

GPU will stay 16x if you use the sound card in the black slot:

Yes it's ok. You can put a x1 pci-E card in a x16 slot.

Sound cards have there own processor to process the sound so it shouldn't slow down the cpu or gpu at all.

Cheers, William151515.
