Clear CMOS jumpers

Hello,

Bought a 2nd hand motherboard that arrived without the clear CMOS jumper - (I did borrow one of another board)__but that's not the point !

Where can these be purchases from? - I've looked on Ebay and bought the wrong item (too small)__someone will have them on Ebay (probably)__buy it's finding them and the correct ones as well.

Is there a specific company that makes these? - Any info and accurate information please - Thanks

Hello Cerberus,

Thanks for the link - 2.54 mm seems to be the standard - What I ordered was clearly smaller and would not fit onto the motherboard.

In the description of one of the items for sale was a condition mentioning actual cosmetic appearance may vary from photograph - Yeah right !!!! - Not

I've ordered from someone else but only a small pack of 5 from Ebay so I'll see if these are correct.

On my own boards I've not lost one jumper off the motherboard as these are a tight fit and are not removed ever so it was annoying to find that a used board arrived without one - and it wouldn't boot up and it was only on checking the CMOS header pins that I found there was no jumper -----

Anyhow I'll let you know when the other ones arrive ---

good practice on loose connections, especially with open pins like these, small blade screwdriver to "open" the gap up to make it tighter.

>>> Yes you are quite correct - The wrong ones ordered were 2 mm - whilst the new ones are 2.54 mm - It works and is tested so I'll add a few more just in case
