Best Coolers for X58 LGA1366 ?

https://valid.x86.fr/vkqg6u

Hi, after trying to overclock my i7 960 X58 system years ago with no luck I decided to have another go, being furloughed off work gave me some free time, I finally got to the bottom of the failure that crashed my system every time I tried to crank things up a bit. Turned out to be a faulty PSU. I am now at 4.236Ghz but I am seeing some alarming CPU temps when running 3DMark. What is the best aircooler available for the LGA1366, or at this level do I really need to go water cooled. Temp peaked at 95c. while running 3DMark at 1080p

I have modded my old case and mounted the new PSU externally on top and added 2 extra case fans where the PSU used to be, currently running a basic coolermaster TX3

What coolers are you guys running ?

My X58 960 ran on watercooling 6-7 years at 4.2Ghz, never on air. Finding a powerful modern air cooler to fit 1366 is what you need to find first.

Thanks for the replies guys, I started thinking water was going to be my best option but I saw a cheap used Sythe Ninja 3 and decided to give it a go.
My full load CPU temp has dropped by 20c !!! from 95c to 75c.. I cant quite believe how much difference it has made, wondering now if there was something wrong with the old coolermaster TX3 or is the Ninja 3 just so much better

Interested to see you are running a X5680, I picked one up a few weeks ago to see if it would work in my setup, Asus P6T Deluxe ver.1

It gets into bios ok and recognizes the 5680 but it wont boot into windows and just hangs with a black screen, any ideas ?

Before I swapped to the Xeon chip, I ran a 920 C0 at 3.8 - 4.2 GHz with 4.4 suicide runs in benching by using a push pull Zalman ZF3 on a Venomous X.
The Xeon is cooled by the same VX and it runs 24/7 4.2 GHz at 1.42V or something.

FLOOR STANDING SYSTEM: FOCAL ARIA 948 WITH NAD C388 & NAD C568 & REGA PLANAR 3 / HOME CINEMA : YAMAHA AVENTAGE RX-A860
DESKTOP AUDIO: DENON AHD-2000/5000 -MARK LAWTON & DENON AHD-9200 WITH PIZZA STACK / TOPPING A50 HiFi BALANCED HEADPHONE AMP & D50S HI-RES DAC & P50 REGULATED LINEAR PSU

Hello ! I have two coolers "Cooler Master V8" and "Thermalright Silver Arrow" between them, too 20-25 degrees difference.
"V8" even the installation of high-speed 140mm. fan does not help with overclock 4.4ghz.

"Silver Arrow" 4.4ghz+ easy . The only negative, it's big. To install it in my Midi-Tower, you need to disassemble everything.

Update bios to the latest version.
https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P6...HelpDesk_BIOS/

If the download freezes before the splash screen of the operating system, possibly with a flashing cursor "_", the problem may be in the disk drive.

Is there no problem with another CPU?
