Hi all,

Just thought we could use a unified thread for this game as well. Keep the discussion on topic and hopefully I can compile good information in the OP as launch time and beyond comes closer. Expect to see info or links to materials, weapons, monsters, etc! Feel free to add me on PSN for now, will be getting the PC version when it releases. - Kantide

Cant wait for this to hit PC, its been a looooooong time coming.

This series deserved so much more than the mediocre hand helds it was limited to.

Infact i recently instaleld Citra emulator so i could play my MhGen on PC instead of my N3DS, since i cant play on the handheld for very long, uncomfortable.

Just hope it doesnt turn out to be to dumbed down.
99% of games from Asia end up being dumbed down to some degree for western audiences, tis rather embarasing tbh. Hopefully MHW will be only slightly dumbed down.
Already know about some of the changes, some i agree with as they are simply QOL improvments others i dont, as they are literaly just there to dumb it down for halfwits.

Still, cant wait ..roll on PC release !

Capcom said that it's aiming to release the Windows PC version of Monster Hunter: World sometime during “autumn 2018.” Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto said the developers is “working hard on” the PC port right now.

Man...I can't wait that long.

This game is releasing worldwide at the same time so all regions will receive the same game and all updates simultaneously. I played the beta with some JP players last night. Went really well. I will be getting it on PS4 for now and then later in the year will evaluate if it's something I should get on PC. Mainly, I need to take into account if it supports ultrawide resolutions.

Aye, i didnt mean to imply that there were multiple version of MHW, more so that MHW is removing and/or dumbing down some features from previous MH titles for the sake of the western audience.
not many, and nothing to substantal mind you, which is why i hope it goes no further than what iv seen alreadyonline.

The main reason for the changing of features iirc during an interview was quality of life. Also, Sony has a large hand in developing this version since they gave Capcom a large chunk of money to make something outside of a Nintendo console and one of their requirements was that the game be more friendly to new entrants to the series. It definitely still feels like a monster hunter game just not as daunting as say 3G or 4U. I've played most of them going back and MH is one of those games with an almost EVE like learning curve.

To add to this, in the beta last night my new friends spent 3 hours and didn't defeat the new elder dragon hunt. I completed it second try with some experienced friends. So the skill need is definitely still there.
