it's obvious that both companies didn't choose NV because they needed to keep costs down when it comes the the hardware of these consoles, same goes for Intel..

If these consoles were equipped with Intel CPU's and NV GPU's the cost of the console would not be anywhere near $400/500..
Correct, the Tegra wasn't as impressive as the A10. This is one reason SONY stated as to why they went with AMD. One vendor, and superior performance was a better decision.

Oh yeah and the fact they turned down making the GPU for the PS4.

ZealotKi11er Wii U does dont give AMD much money. That aside its X1 and PS4 both GPU and CPU. Thats 4 things compare to 1 thing from last gem.

BigMack70 I don't know why anyone thinks it matters which company makes the console GPUs... it's never had any bearing at all on how things shake out in the discrete PC GPU market.

The only thing relevant to PCs from the next console generation is that they are finally using x86 CPUs.

Not silly at all. AMD also had 2/3 consoles from the 360/PS3/Wii generation; the Wii outsold the other two consoles by far and it was using AMD.

Yet, they lost ground to nvidia. Yes it was due to various factors but the fact remains that selling their GPU in consoles doesn't equal selling GPUs on PC and/or increased revenue/profits.

Somehow I doubt nvidia worries too much about a company that is a third of their size.

Waiting for someone to polish this turd.
