I have almost the exact same computer as you, Rampage VI Apex, 7980XE, 1080 Ti SLI under water, 32gb Trident Z, EVGA 1600 T2. What kind of temps are you getting with the Hailea and the 7980XE? Just curious
Where have you seen reviews for the Strix II? I can't find any. As far as temps go, At 5.0x18 @1.40v idle temps are 16-19c and under load like running CB 20 I'm getting upper 40's- mid to upper 60'sC.

ThrashZone Hi,
All apex needs is a vrm water block which you probably already know I just added mine a week ago it's looking good so far

If just looking towards doing another build then is all good although I'm not a strikes line fan
Heck even my cheap tuf x299 mark 2 300.us with tax "Yes I still have it and it too will turn into another build for my 9940x" it's good with a vrm water block so do what ever floats your vrm's

What do you think?

https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/RO...9-E-Gaming-II/ https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/RO...pecifications/ I'm thinking of buying this board for the 10980XE when it comes out. It looks like a better VRM heatsink with a nice thick heat pipe and supports 48 lane CPU which my Apex VI does not. It also has 2x8 pin CPU connectors and 12 power stages, 4 more than the Apex. The only other Asus boards that supports 48 lane CPU is the new Extreme Encore which will be going for $650 and the Prime Deluxe II which is $470 on Amazon. The Strix is $449.
