Hi,
Yep I'm looking over at optimus foundation thinking damn it's 7c cooler at 4.8 than the heatkiller 4 pro

I did another heatkiller 4 pro against optimus foundation temperature comparison
Foundation wins big at 4.8/ 1.25v by 7c max core temp. never tested HK at 4.8 no avx applied only at all core 1.24v because HK couldn't really handle 4.8 with avx 3 applied.

Battlefield V using 12 threads. Disable HT and BF is using 12 real cores. Wiith 14 core with disabled HT you have 2 cores left for "windows background"

LOL

Best way to justify 14 cores for gaming

I might not have helped that I lapped the CPU die. I noticed really poor contact with the die and the IHS... like only the center was getting contact. No wonder my CPU has always been hot. (it wasn't very deep and i didn't get to the chip. I think the LM is what killed it.)

But while i wait i added another 360 to the loop... The flow is still over 6LPM. (i have the cooling equal to that of 4-5 360s.)

I guess the good news i'll be much more likely to get 5ghz+ on these 12 and 14 core chips. That said, i don't think i'll be able to get anymore top 10 spots on 3d mark in this world of crazy (and pointless) core counts (and LN2 people... and people that get paid to do this stuff...) when the new nvidia cards come out.

Baasha, also no division 2 for me for a few days. I could play on my HTPC, but shooting + controller == super bad aim.

But luckily I don't although I do have another x299 board doing nothing atm was going to return it for a little credit towards a 10980xe but also had 3950x in my sights.
No hurry either way prices just drop after a while anyway 3950x down to 700.us instead of 750.us
