Domfunkle I'll be starting Intro to Java too at the end of Feb when I start my Uni course (Bachelor of Computer Network Engineering). I'll also be learning C/C++ later on, which I've already dabbled in before Visual Basic 6.0.

mauguai Wouldn't call myself a "guru" as such, had to use it throughout university degree.

Your new partner in crime will be the Java API

http://java.sun.com/reference/api/index.html

Choose the version you're working with and get into the habit of referring to it whilst progin away.

Burn Started my Intro. to Java class last Monday. Overall, it sounds like an interesting class. I'm interested to see what I can do with it. Is anyone here a Java guru?
