Almost Heathen My 9 year old AFB1212H is inaudible at 6 inches at ~3v and very quiet up to 1500RPM. I was so impressed I bought some new old stock AFB1212L fans and the bearing noise is awful (easily 10x as loud). I'm tempted to replace the bearings as they were so cheap. Anyone familiar with the type of bearings that are in these fans or is it a lost cause?

EDIT: Measured them myself. They're 3mm bore by ~3.9mm width by 8mm outer diameter, commonly referred to as 693zz (or 830zz). I thought $5 per bearing plus shipping was crazy, apparently it's reasonable; Alpine quoted 10 NMBs for $40. Tempting, but I'm not even sure these are real Deltas (they spin at ~6v vs the AFB1212H that starts at ~2v). I'm going to pull the bearing shields, flush and regrease the bearings. If that doesn't work, importing Fushi Chinese bearings or Japanese bearings are looking like my best bet.

No, you are right. The other variants probably wouldn't mount your GPU.

Close! Raijintek Morpheus II.

You don't have a 150x50mm blowing into your PSU. You missed a spot!

Retrorockit AFC1512DG 150x50mm case fan, and GFB1212VHG 120x50mm 2 motor hanging off of a Macho 120. I won't run the GFB hanging off of a heatsink. Just a mockup to see what could fit there. 2nd photo I will hang a 92x38 off of a heatsink.
What would be a good PWM fan controller for running 3 or 4 Delta fans?

I ordered a pair of Silverstone 4.5A. Controllers. thanks.

I'm asking this because those Deltas have a max input of .8A and 9.6W.
Would I be able to connect a fan to each fan header (I mean, one connected to the CPU_FAN and another to the CPU_OPT), or they will draw a total of 1.6A and blow out everything?
Most likely than not, they're the same trace and its unwise to pull more than 1A (constant, not startup which is 2A) per header

Some boards have different ratings though, my board is rated at 1A for the cpu header and 1.5A for the CPU_OPT header separately...

Or you could get a PWM splitter board (very common these days) and not worry
