Yup biggrin.gif
Like I can't post my drunk pics to share with my friends, because my family and boss will see them; I can't talk crap about my co-workers and boss when they are being buttholes, because if I post it will be seen by everyone. You really rant anymore lol

Isn't freely express yourself one of the important aspect about social networking sites? Seems like with everyone using Facebook you can't do chit anymore.

It's like putting all the social aspects of your life together, so you can't really express or post what you really want.

on Facebook you now have 80 year old grandmothers posting stuff on their walls.

I did like Myspace better for the sheer fact u didn't feel like u had to be on your best behavior. I also met alot of girls off there smile.gif

Siged.

Haven't had a Myspace for awhile now, to much spam and horrible bands asking for friends. Glad to see it's finally dieing out.

Facebook is a gimmicky, silly contraption designed to make EVERYONE feel special by giving EVERYONE their own page.
It's like having a website or a blog.. but without the need for intellect or personal worth.

But its gotten SO popular as the new "IT" thing that if you don't have - you must not be "cool".. that companies and in fact EVERYONE on earth, probably including presidents and kings.. all have a Facebook page, in order to appeal to the masses in "coolness".

It's like Facebook is "Coolsville" and everyone wants a summer home there.
The more "likes" you have, the closer you are to the center of town.

What WILL replace Facebook is UNDOUBTABLY a service that lets you do more than chat, post silly photos and express whether you like something.. or like something.
Something with more features than Myspace.

Like an interactive world that seamlessly integrates Netflix, Rhapsody, etc. into it.. kind of Playstation Home but without the crappy 3D interface.
I think Google will be the ones that makes it, because I don't see any Entrepreneurs on the horizon.

Dude, that's all old except the last paragraph.

I use Facebook mainly for seeing news posts by companies like Intel, OCZ, AMD, magazine sites, etc. I also see a lot of mods posted by networking with a lot of modders. Once you "friend" a few, then suggestions will come up with even more modders and what have you.

But here's where I think Facebook will fail: more and more now, retail has been taking advantage of Facebook "free" advertisements. They're all doing giveaways to get more people to "Like" their page. It's free MASS marketing to them in a way. If this trends keeps up, people will probably shy away from Facebook because there's too much of it.

But really, it's going to be a LONG time before Facebook dies like MySpace did because of the sheer amount of people on it now.
