Florida_Dan It seems that there are more than a few of us still around, which is awesome!

The days of having an OC'd rig running 24/7 don't seem that far off, but it really is almost 10 years ago...

Ah the good old days of folding on 9800GX2 and 8800GT cards, and folding on quad and dual core CPUs
And before my time, there was no GPU folding...
Ah, I remember those days... Still have my old 8800gt too, lol. Been thinking of getting back into folding again. I remember breaking into the top 50 for OCN back in the day, doubt I would get back there again now, lol

Man it has been some years since I folded for Team X-Treme

Back around 2000 I loaded [email protected] on every machine I owned or worked on. I had about 6 dual-PPro and dual-PII workstations (cheap off eBay after the dot-bomb) running Folding full time in the lab at work, along with another half dozen 200-300 MHz single-cpu machines. About 20 CPUs going 24/7 at peak, which IIRC was enough to help get my university a decent ranking early on. I gave up on [email protected] about early 2002 when my gang of cheap hardware stopped being competitive with the new fast hardware. I wasn't a gamer so I had no interested in buying a blazing fast new desktop machine at the time.
