Ashuiegi i think it s the best because having one ship from abroad would be expensive ( it s really heavy) and risky, i wouldn't gamble on something this expensive in the first place smile.gif
i hope you can find what you need for a good price.

the cryogenics in front of the name, i m not sure it reflect this or not, but i think it's just semantic and they are the same.

i think your right and yes from what i can see the storage holders inside are removeable so hence the naming. as you see i did what you sugested and have contacted numerous suppliers and am waiting to hear back smile.gif

PS as always somethings confused me as to type or if they are the same.. like one may say Ln2 dewar while one might say Ln2 cryogenics dewar (kinda like what my dad's friend uses on his cattle farm for bull sperm)
I don't really know the difference but my guess would be they both hold ln2,the cryogenics Dewar still holds ln2 for preserving the sperm but has a wider mouth for the racks to hang in and easy removel as such for the racks.Just a guess tho but its all about the holding time and something that is easy to pour for you too

ahhh cool, kinda what i was thinking. now i am waiting on replies from some Ln2 suppliers here so hopefully will have some luck smile.gif

Im not sure about type but when buying a secondhand Dewar it would pay to buy something not too old, smaller dewars make sure the seal plug is in good condition. The other thing is what i did was ask the seller to do a evaporation test on the Dewar to see if the still hold good, will cost you little bit for the cost of LN2 if they are willing to do it.Here is a example find a Dewar you like if its not too old do a search on it Google see what its evaporation holding time is like. From memory you want to pick Dewar with say 0.50 or less, thats 500mls(less the better) a day you will loose on evaporation. The better Dewar I think loose about 0.20 ish a day and normally cost more money,The Dewars that are past their time may loose litres a day,a Dewar that sweats when it has LN2 is past it and has bad vacuum.
Here is a some examples good Dewar, 3 different second had prices and on the bottom link the holding time that is good 0.27 that is good when new,Normally the bigger the dewar the bigger the evaporation time
