keyboardguy4500 Get either a CMStorm Quickfire Rapid with Cherry MX Blue or Green switches, I sampled some MX Blues at Walmart on a Blackwidow Ultimate 2013 keyboard, felt and sounded epic, however the Quickfire Rapid is built better and is cheaper. IBM Model M or UNICOMP Classic 101 Buckling Spring and Dell AT101 with ALPS CM Black switches are good choices too, however I really liked the sound and feel of the MX Blues when I sampled them yesterday at Walmart.

Quickfire Rapid with Blues or Greens would definitely be sweet to have in my lap while sitting back and doing whatever though.

Blues are good if you want a clicky that's easier to press, while Greens are closer to a Model M on actuation force.

jrolle I have a ducky shine 2 myself, and I like it a lot. Do you know which switch type you want? That would be the most important thing. I'd recommend something like this (http://www.wasdkeyboards.com/index.php/products/sampler-kit-1.html) to try out different ones for cheap before you commit. But when it comes to choosing which keyboard, they all don't differ too much in performance. I'd narrow it down based on certain criteria. For example, I wanted one with backlightling and brown mx switches, so that narrowed it down a bit. Having macro keys, full size vs tkl, etc all narrow down quite a bit.

alcal I have a Ducky Shine with mx Reds, a Storm Trigger with MX Browns, my roommates have had Cherry clears, blues and blacks, but far above them all stands the mighty IBM Model M. I just got mine, and love it. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it except that it only has 2-key rollover so don't plan to play FPS's on it.

anoob It all depends on your budget, the key switch color you like, and the designs and features that you need.

CM Storm Quick Fire Pro/Stealth/TK Cherry MX Brown, Blue
SteelSeries 6Gv2 (large return key) Cherry MX Black
Duckie Zero/Shine (assorted key colors in almost any color and LED combo you want, has detachable USB cable and dip switches I believe, and some fancy light tricks)
DAS (more expensive, nice design, probably not worth the price since most mechanical boards come with LED)
CodeKeyboard (simple design with LED, detachable USB cable, dip switches, though many OCN'ers complain and say it's overpriced)

And if you really want to you can look at the usual mainstream brand like Razer and Logitech:

Logitech G710 (people complained about dying LED lights, not sure if QA is even resolved, has custom macro side keys)
Razer Blackwidow Ultimate/etc... (for the price I'd probably skip it for the others ontop and get better keycaps)

Not much other brands I can think of. There's Rosewill but many people reported QA problem with the cable separating from the board so I'd probably skip it to avoid problems.

DuckySchmucky Was thinking of getting the black window from razer 2013 or the cm storm. Or do you guys have any better options?
