People on r/ultrawidemasterrace file this under ghosting, comparing it to what you'd see on a 240Hz panel and well.. Justifying a purchase is fine and all if that makes you sleep at night; however this issue certainly doesn't look like ghosting to me.
Same here, after i used OLED C6P since 2016 i got used to size and quality, I was thinking that 35inch will be big enough and that every game needs GSYNC and that 120+Hz i great and that the new display port will allow me to use 120hz/12bit [it does], but now that i finally got the monitor and its trash with bugs from here to the moon [not just flickering and scan lines, i had otehr issues] and it looks small by comparison, i will be getting C9, which is cheaper too [I had to import the asus from abroad, paid extra 1K USD for shipping and import tax] and C9 i can get local with 3 years warranty and soon it gets GSYNC support and i bet that next gen nvidia cards will have HDMI 2.1 so that means native 4K/120hz, for now gsync at 4k/60 will do it, even my 2080ti cant push 60 in some games Ultra settings especially with RTX, if the range is low enough, say 30 to 60 ill be happy and when video cards with HDMI 2.1 come out we will get 12Bit/120Hz 4K too

Exactly. Plenty of VA panels have piss poor response times but don't exhibit flickering on this level. This is beyond some typical VA panel response time problem.

I consider myself quite picky when it comes to displays so take that as you will. I'm not sitting 5cm in front of the panel looking for issues, I wanted to get a unbiased opinion and that's it pretty much. That being said: I highly doubt I'll keep the PG35VQ, however I'm not sure where to go to for a stopgap until 34/35" OLED. I cba to go back to backlight bleed galore, and a C9 is too large for my personal taste. Realistically speaking first gen OLED monitors being fault free is wishful thinking so there's that too.

Edit: Spoke too soon I guess! I just came across something in RE2 which is actually worse than what I've seen in the usual Battlefield videos and such. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dqKCvNeyHak

Yes this issue is on every monitor 10000% I mean I check 4 of them and found the problem in under 5mins..

you gotta turn off all that ambient light before recording a vid.

CallsignVega Firmware problem, which means it affects 100% of them. I'd bet Kot0005's paycheck on it.

Prolly zero because I have seen the exact same behaviour on 4 PG35VQ's. Literally took me under 5mins to reproduce it. It only happens in certain scenes, like on the trees in witcher etc. So people who are using them prolly dont have good knowledge of monitors or arent able to see the flickering/scanlines..
