Mooncheese Anyone here with 9900k? I'm contemplating upgrading from 8700k to 9900ks maybe next year. How is compatibility? BIOS? Thanks.

As long as you replace the stock thermal pads on the VRM heatsInk with good 1.5mm ones, you should be good on the VRM temps. I had the Gaming 7 and stock, the VRMs run hot under stress load testing the CPU. The thermal pad replacement fixes this issue. As a FYI, the VRMs on the Gaming 7 AFAIK go to 130X before they throttle, which is higher than most mobo VRMs.

Nope/. My guess is concerns over VRM temps.
