|keikei||If you take away the potential vulnerability patch performance hits, I'd get an 8700k (6c/12t) or 8600k (6c/6t). You want that very high IPC, but dont want to be choked for having a quad core in 2018. I wouldnt pay for a gpu @ current market $ either.|

Thanks for the replies!
I am planning on upgrading my GPU at the end of the year/beginning of next year. Now I had planned to upgrade the rest of my PC first.
@The Pook if you read my post I already have an SSD, I will reuse it in my new build.

|keikei||The cheaper and better upgrade would just be the gpu. Yes, theres a possible bottleneck, but its minor considering the huge jump in gaming performance. https://www.newegg.com/global/uk/Pro...82E16814487248|

|The Pook||Get an SSD first before you consider upgrading anything else.|

The biggest difference you will see for gaming is if you would upgrade your videocard. That being said, videocards are insanely expensive at this point so I can see why you would want to upgrade the rest first.
If you go with the 8700k and keep the GTX970 you will only notice a difference in games that demand more CPU power. So sure, with the 8700k it will be faster (in games that make use of it) but won't make as much of a difference then replacing the videocard with a higher end one. But eventually the 4 available threads might become a bottleneck.
That upgrade looks fine but personally I prefer the Noctua NH-U14S over the NH-D15 since it takes up a lot less room and they only differ a few degrees when stress tested.

I would like to upgrade my current PC, I was thinking about upgrading almost everything except for the GPU, SSD and HDD. My budget is around € 1100,-.
My PC is mostly used for gaming with a 1080p 144hz monitor.
CPU: i5 2500K OC'ed to 4.2ghz
Mobo: ASrock p67 Extreme4
GPU: MSI GTX 970
Cooling: Scythe Mugen 2 Rev. B
RAM: 16GB geheugen
PSU: Corsair 750TX v2
Case: Coolermaster CM 690 II
Upgrade I was aiming for:
CPU: i7 8700k
Mobo: ASrock Z370 extreme4
Cooling: Noctua NH-D15
RAM: Corsair 16GB DDR4-3200
PSU: Corsair RM550x
Case: Fractal Design Define S
My goal is a upgrade in which I can game for quite some time again on decent settings, like I can now with my current setup. GPU will be upgraded at the end of the year/beginning of new year.
Hopefully I can get some feedback or recommendations.
