tictoc POTM Final Update

Distributed Hardware Evolution Project
Start: 19 - Goal: 16 - End: 14 | We reached dour goal, and are we are not too far from moving up to 13th.
[email protected]
Start: 115 - Goal: 114 - End: 114 | Goal achieved. We also ended up finishing 21st in the WOW! event, which is a pretty good showing for our team on SETI.

Start: 20 - Goal: 18 - End: 21 | We slid back one spot in Enigma, but that was probably because a few of us switched our focus over to SETI.

Thanks to everyone that helped out on this month's projects.

tictoc Enigma really does love AMD GPUs. My 290s clocked at 1000MHz are about 40% faster than my 1070 clocked at 2075MHz. The AMD OpenCL tasks also have basically zero CPU overhead, compared to the full core that is used by the CUDA app.

tictoc Nothing for me on my 1070's. I'll try detaching and reattaching Enigma, and see if that gets tasks flowing again.

*Edit* Detaching and reattaching worked. I immediately got both AMD and NVIDIA tasks.

k4m1k4z3 I am getting work for Windows and Linux on my 10 series cards. No extra files needed to be added.

tictoc I think the app list for Enigma just needs to be updated. These are the apps, and their wrappers, that I currently have in my enigma folder (all added on 5/24):
  • enigma_1.13_x86_64-pc-linux-gnu__cuda_fermi
  • enigmaopencl_1.11_x86_64-pc-linux-gnu__opencl_ati_101
  • enigmatest_1.08_x86_64-pc-linux-gnu__opencl_ati_101
  • wrapper_1.13_x86_64-pc-linux-gnu__cuda_fermi
  • wrapper_1.11_x86_64-pc-linux-gnu__opencl_ati_101
  • wrappertest_1.08_x86_64-pc-linux-gnu__opencl_ati_101

Which only has one version:

http://www.enigmaathome.net/apps.php

Yet that user has this for plan class (opencl_ati_101) which is the test version plan class.
That user's app details show
Enigma GPU 1.11 x86_64-pc-linux-gnu (opencl_ati_101)

So I guess the apps page is missing the linux version?

There is an Enigma Cuda app for linux. I did 64 hours a couple months ago. But I also have https://github.com/Agbar/enigma-opti...ses/tag/v1.1.0 in my downloads folder. I don't know if I used it.

tictoc I was able to get Enigma GPU Linux tasks at the beginning of the month, but I haven't seen any in the last two weeks. A few of the top hosts are running Linux with AMD GPUs and are loaded with tasks. http://www.enigmaathome.net/show_hos...?hostid=235309

Start: 115 - Goal: 114 - Currently: 115 | Tough to say if we can slide up a spot in the rankings. If anyone is looking to add SETI, be sure and run the optimized apps, since they are much faster than the stock app.

Start: 20 - Goal: 18 - Currently: 20 | I've had no luck getting work for Enigma. @McPaste @Finrond Is there some special sauce that needs to be added to the mix to get work for Enigma?

Enigma GPU is the only app with work atm and it is Windows only.
