Wildcard36qs | Just picked up an EVGA 2080 Super XC Hybrid to replace a broken EVGA 1080 Ti. My case already has a EVGA 240CLC in front so had to ghetto-rig it for this to work. I will do some thorough testing and benching tonight, but loving the low temps and quietness. |

Synoxia | Should be just able to flip the switch bios in case bios doesn't work. Allowing it to use +20 more watts is not going to break it i mean... but i will lose RGB sync ._. |

My 2080super is stuck at 1.043v, 1.050v no matter the overvoltage setting. I've found out EVGA Xoc gives me a much more stable and higher frequency curve so i am using that instead of MSI afterburner which underclocks the card basically.
@Toth eSun what if i flash EVGA FTW ultra bios on this one? I don't want to lose RGB sync of aura but i'd also love to let this card use more power... what's fine for evgas should be fine even for this asus card (i know evga are the to go oem for nvidia but i think this gonna be fine too, we aren't talking about Kingpin cards) |

Yeah I'd love a BIOS model like the GTX6XX and 7XX series had that allows for forced voltages, custom power limits and disabled boost all together so clocks won't fluctuate with temperature and power draw but I don't think anyone will or can do that with nvidia's current encryption lol.
Luckily my Gaming X Trio can maintain full clocks at 1.093v in most cases but it does get seriously close to the power limit running at 100-105% most of the time (111% limit I believe?). There are benches that can max it out but in regular gaming it doesn't drop. Card does max out at 2085Mhz and I can only run 2070 as under low load and lower temps it will boost to 2115/2130 Mhz if I wanna run 2085 full load and that is too unstable. It crashes before it gets hot enough to drop to 2085Mhz lol. @Toth eSun what if i flash EVGA FTW ultra bios on this one? Synoxia | Damn. Ds3 in 4k trashes this card. Like *** this shouldn't even be happening but whatever. Memory tuned at 1350, how much voltage would you safely input for longevity? Also, my strix does not feature a memory temp sensor (atleast hwinfo doesn't show one) i've read that usually these stay in 10+20c to core... should i consider then 60c my max temp underload? |

Eh, mine has 313 power limit according to reviews. Damn. I hope someone will be able to hack nvidia bioses so we could edit power limit/voltages/mem clock to our liking.

strix 2080s, power limit maxed, OC scanner puts basically the same or slightly less clocks (2040 or 2025) till 1.050v (which is the max voltage shown by hwinfo) then it goes higher but ofcourse i am not reaching those because i don't overvolt the card yet.
The max power i've seen is around 250w (hwinfo reading). I've got a evga 750w g3 psu, should be plenty for this and a 3700x. |

What clocks are you getting max? Temperature doesn't matter much if you run into the power limit. Not saying that's the case, but it depends on card model and OC.
