Kaltenbrunner IDK I think I'm realizing how old this Korean, factory-2nd, IPS is. And how bad it's GtG response time is. Yup, very soon I'll have a +120Hz monitor
It just blurrs so much looking around in games, especially open world. Even when I had a 980 ti, certain motion is super blurry.

BWAS1000 1.4 supports 1440p60, Have personally run it like that. Check your refresh rate in windows, if you cant get 60Hz I would faster blame the monitor's implementation.

deepor I don't think that's right, it should be able to do 60Hz. It seems HDMI 1.4 can do 30Hz for a 4K resolution, and 4K has over twice the pixels than what 1440p has. This should then mean that 1440p at 60Hz will fit fine into the bandwidth that HDMI 1.4 has.

Here's what I mean about the amount of pixels:

3840 * 2160 = 8,294,400 <-- 4K resolution
2560 * 1440 = 3,686,400 <-- 1440p resolution

Kaltenbrunner
HDMI 1.4a with 1440p ??

The DVI-I stopped working on my Qnix 27", so I'm using the HDMI 1.4a, then I'm reading that I might be only getting 30Hz @1440 p ? Is that right? I've only played 3 big games, and they felt/look laggy, I assumed it's my r9 280x
