Cool. I've got a new DP 1.2 cable on order. A Startech.com DP Certified one. DP 1.2, 3m long, open box but new. £3.70! Bargain.
Also thinking, I have a second monitor plugged in to graphics card. Its a lower resolution and only 60hz. I've seen some reports about that maybe causing a problem. Will test and reply back with findings. Cheers |

I'm not sure if I am using the same DP cable or not as I have a few of them and they got mixed up.

I have the same monitor running off of a 2080 and do not have that problem. Try a monitor reset and ddu clean your drivers and reinstall. Maybe a bad cable.
I'll give that a try. Are you using the DPort cable that came with the monitor? |

I have an MSI MPG27CQ 144hz with an 1080Ti. Driver 419.67
Freesync turned on, G-Sync on in Nvidia CP, Vsync left to each game. Has what looks like backlight flicker though depends on the game as to how bad. Tried all sorts but never got it to go away. Infuriating thing is I've seen people reporting same monitor and no problem at all. Other than that, a great monitor :-) |

I'm referring to every day from now back until the 3xx drivers. When the RTX card came out, NVIDIA began only releasing bugged drivers that don't work for the 1080 Ti + OLED C7 65" TV. In other words, NVIDIA created 1080 Ti display compatibility issues when creating their new drivers and they've never bothered to fix it. For all I know, I'll never be able to use NVIDIA again due to their poor driver support.
I understand they don't see AMD as competition at this point, but this is getting ridiculous. I'm literally going to have to sell my 1080 Ti because NVIDIA dropped the ball so hard on their drivers. I honestly thought I'd never see the day. I switched from ATI to NVIDIA in the first place many years back due to the drivers. And now NVIDIA seems to be giving me the boot back to AMD. |

davidm71 | So as I understand it there is no 9-series card support? Only 10 series can play? |
