looniam the only thing i said about anything is the OP isn't competing against sub ambient cooling.

well i said more than that. HWBot, 3D HOF, and here on OCN aren't the only sites/forums w/benchmarking. the rules on many "casual" benchmarks are pretty foot loose and fancy free with allowing LOD for nvidia and tessellation for AMD as those are driver level tweaks accessible to anyone.

i would expect sub ambient cooling to have more stringent rules. i hope that relievates any concerns.

Noxinite I never said that the Futuremark LOD detection worked properly...

And that doesn't mean that they accept results with LOD tweaks in their HoF.

But of course it depends on what the rules are for wherever you are benching. So if the OCN 3D benchmark threads allow it, then I guess you can. 🙂

Good talk I guess.
HWBot was the only mentioned - to be perfectly honest no it didn't occur to me about future mark, since i am OCN-centric (not dis-allowed here). and the last time i ran it, everything validatied just fine:
https://www.3dmark.com/spy/2532844

though a a few days more recent w/quadro drivers (not approved):
https://www.3dmark.com/spy/4838222

so yeah good talk.

edit:
btw, just looked for curiosity and NOPE no one with an 1080ti and 9900k a close second to anything on the 3DMark board (not futuremark, you know its all UL now, right?), really all those look like HWBot folks . . so nice try anyways. yes i had been looking for the OPs scores.

O&O Shutup10 is something everyone on W10 should be using anyway, I wouldn't have been able to tolerate the OS without it.
It disables the forced update scheme, the re-installing of bloatware and about a hundred other things. My idle CPU/RAM usage is drastically reduced compared to vanilla W10 but isn't as impressive as when I made custom .ISOs. The custom ISO route is one I'd only use for a special "benchmark OS" if you will. O&O can disable/stop a lot of things but the custom .ISO prevents them from ever being installed like Cortana for example...a bench OS doesn't need any of that crap. There's a learning curve to making your own ISO but I feel like it would be worth it to make one for benching.
This PAGE Ran by an Italian programmer has a walkthrough of how to strip w10 after installation and it works very well. I use it myself and I can strip w10 in a few minutes using CMD and Powershell. It gets rid of Cortana, Defender, and any and all Telemetry and Microsoft tracker crapware. It is probably one of the better methods Ive used and very quick and as simple as Copy and Pasting commands into PShell and CMD for about 3 minutes with a couple of restarts.
