white owl Windows will always (even if installing the latest version) install something from MS.
The only way I know of to prevent it is to install Windows with no internet then use O&O to prevent updates after it boots. After you use O&O it will only update if you tell it to.
Updates go to where ever windows is installed.
You can use MSMG to create your own custom Windows installer pre-loaded with anything you want and you can strip windows of features if you'd like.

Acecool I didn't get the virus from the installation source ( which was from Microsoft.com - the only source I trust ). The virus occurred about 1 minute and 30 seconds AFTER plugging in the ethernet cable.

So the tool has all of the updates in it?

I plugged in one of my old flash-drives ( a few months old ) and I already created an ESD-USB which has Windows 10 on it. When I ran it, it started trying to download updates... Do those updates go to the USB device?, or my computer because when I canceled it said cleaning up files...

Because if I already have this ( I'm pretty sure I used Microsoft software tool for the ISO then 'burned' it to the drive with a 32GB partition.. Or I have a tool for that. But if what I have will work, then I won't need anything else as long as it can download the updates straight to the USB drive so when I set up the new computer it won't have any downloading or updating to do...

NeoReaper You can get the latest iso to edit in the tool above using Microsoft's own tool: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/soft...load/windows10 "Download tool now"
The tool will allow you to download any version with every update up until the point you used the tool.

The Pook if you got a virus on a clean install your installation media wasn't from a good source. Windows updates don't contain viruses. Introduce stability issues - sure... but no viruses.

Setting up windows on NVME

I just purchased an 8700k and Asus Maximus Formula X or whatever and am looking for memory. I have a 970 Pro 1TB and I'm wondering what the best way to set it up was...

I don't have a working optical at the moment unless I have one in one of my other cases which I may have, but I do have USB Drives and installing via USB would be faster anyways. I just want to get everything ready for when the parts arrive.

Also, is there a way to download Windows 10 Pro, the LATEST release so I don't have to go through all the updates? Last time I reinstalled ( which was like 4 years ago or so ) on my x400 1TB, when I connected to the internet just for updates and nothing else I got a worm. Self replicating and annoying to remove but I removed it. I just don't want to spend time on removing viruses for a fresh install so I'd rather get an up-to-date ISO or have a way to build it.

I'm honestly considering just copying the 1TB drive I currently have straight over so I don't have to worry about reinstalling, however with all the drivers, etc.. I'd rather have a fresh install. I'd rather just be able to load all of the drivers into the ISO or USB drive so on install they install automatically. Any ideas on software, etc..?

Is there any software available where I can generate a Windows 10 x64 Pro USB Drive with preloaded drivers for the NVME, and maybe other stuff? I'm going to start downloading the drivers for the board shortly to ensure I have everything ready so I can move it to the flashdrive after it is loaded up with Windows...

Any help is appreciated.
